It’s been years since I played Resident Evil 1. There is a great remake on newest generation of consoles that let’s you play old school tank controls or more modern controls. you can also view original or widescreen and you can choose between Jill and Billy with slightly different abilities for different play style.
Basically, this is a puzzle game with zombies to fight. it’s not the easiest game, but none of the puzzles are too difficult. They mostly concern getting an object, traveling across the mansion to use it. And you can’t get to many areas until you find the right key. And you can’t find some keys until you find that first key to open the area. And then you have to follow the maze to get back to where you need to open the door or use the item.
Still some good atmosphere and scares. The zombies can be difficult to handle, especially at higher levels when you run out of bullets and need to fend them off with only the knife.
Overall, it’s a classic for a reason and everyone should play it. Do yourself a favor and don’t quit until you’ve gotten a secret key or two.
