Christmas Evil – Holiday Feast Appetizer Review
I’m not much of a slasher movie fan. And when it comes to Christmas horror, there are a lot of slasher movies. A whole lot. Much attention is placed on Black Christmas because it was one of the first. While Christmas Evil was later (even after Friday the 13th), I would argue it’s a better

Dead Snow and Dead Snow 2: Red vs Dead – Holiday Feast appetizer
Not really Christmas, it’s Easter, but there’s a lot of snow. The sex scene in the outhouse when it’s like 50 below. Hmm. Zombies breathe in this one because you can see their breath in the snow. I’ve never seen so many uses for intestines – especially ones still connected. This is basically Evil Dead

All Through the House – Holiday Feast Appetizer
Another Christmas horror of a psycho slasher that uses song lyrics for the title. It takes quite awhile to get the ‘motivation’ for the killer Santa, but you can probably guess it right now. You killed my daughter and ruined my life – now I’m back for revenge. I’ve never seen anyone take so long

And to all a good night – Holiday feast appetizer
This obviously was greenlit after the success of Black Christmas and Friday the 13th. Story is around a sorority that had an accidental death years ago and now they’ve come back to get revenge. If you’re looking for a heavy plot, keep looking. This is 1980 and about college girls – so it’s trying to

All the Creatures Were Stirring – Holiday Feast Appetizer
Another anthology movie. Takes place on Christmas Eve with a couple attending a play. Like most of the anthologies, some of the short stories are better than others. Not as good as Creepshow but about on par with Tales from the Darkside. There is a SAW story, another similar to Advent, A Christmas Carol (of

A Christmas Carol comparisons
What would Christmas be without a good ghost story? What you say? You don’t tell ghost stories at Christmas? Well, why not! This is an old Victorian tradition that has fallen out of favor. But its still a part of our culture. What about the Andy Williams song – The Most Wonderful Time of the

Advent Calendar – Holiday Feast Appetizer
This one is French, so there’s closed caption. The story is pretty good, nice quality production and acting. Follow the rules of the Advent calendar or Ich will kill you. Spooky being in the other realm each time she opens a door. Good quality horror. Worth watching.

Christmas Horror
Every year before between Halloween and Thanksgiving, it’s a weird time for movies. I mean, Rhys and I watch horror movies year round, so it’s not too much different just because its Halloween. And, of course, after Thanksgiving, there’s plenty of Christmas movies to watch. That leaves most of November. To me, it makes sense,

13 Slays till x-mas – Holiday Feast Appetizer
Low budget which means low production quality. Canterbury tales the Christmas horror edition. Some are better than others, mostly too short. Nice to add Vengeance at the end. They are playing with the tradition of telling scary stories in Christmas Eve which is something I do like.

Red Snow – Holiday Feast Appetizer
A vampire romance novelist gets a real vampire in her house. At Christmas. So-so. Get to see a vampire butt. The ending is fun.

Red Christmas – Holiday Feast Appetizer
Another killer on the loose at Christmas, but with Dee Wallace. Production is ok, but at times feels amateurish. Some social commentary on dealing with Downs Syndrome. Get it on Amazon
