This is billed as a haunted house movie. I don’t want to give anything away, but this is one of my favorite movies of the last several years. The POV is interesting and follows a family around a house. Many long shots. It’s not a regular spooky story, but is a great build up.

I was very afraid they’d screw this up. They didn’t. So captured the best stuff about the Evil Dead mythology. Enough creepy and scary for anyone. Enjoyed it. Probably the freakiest one of the series. I thought the original was freaky when I was 10 and it was new, but this one is pretty scary…

In a Violent Nature – Appetizer Review
I really liked this one. Definitely not a typical slasher. Shot in 4:3 format and most of the movie is from behind the killer (or someone else) as they walk along. Like watching a Red Dead Redemption playthrough. Something about this one just pulled me in.
