the best horror movies you've never seen
A remake of the original Carrie (1976) by Brian DePalma based on the Stephen King novel. Their intent was to update and modernize it and include some things from the book that weren’t in the original movie. I honestly didn’t notice much difference other than the use of social media posting. it was fairly close, scene for scene, of the original. While not a bad movie, why not just watch the original?
A sequel to the 1976 film. Some loose connections. Typical sequel stuff to try and tie things together. Basically the same story trying to be modernized. Acceptable as far as it goes, but skippable if you’ve seen the original.

Based on a book by Peter Straub, the movie has some great stars – including Fred Astaire and Douglas Fairbanks. Didn’t enjoy the book overly and the movie did nothing to make it better. Interesting movie. I might classify it more as a thriller told with horror elements.
